I have sold a few and bought a few, had no problems here.

i hope this site is really free to sell at and not another fly by night with hidden fees for everything.

Hi, you are right, not alot of traffic, but it doesn't cost anything to list items on the site. Give it a try, only cost is your time. Help to increase traffic by telling your friends and customers you are listing on Squeagle.com with lower prices because it costs you less to list your items here.
Posted by Junkstore (0) on 6/21/2008 at 11:26:39 CT Auctions
Hello all, im new here and was looking around, dont look like much traffic on here yet. has anyone been doing much selling on here? just checking things out before i start listing. Thanks

Hi there...I'm new!
Posted by Unclejunk1 (0) on 2/28/2008 at 12:52:00 CT Auctions
http://blog.washingtonpost.com/faste...s_at_ebay.html Is where an open discussion is happening about ebay and its changes. If you can get to it today, go in and let people know about this site. The more that do the more exposure this site will get and help grow it. The more that know about this site the more buyers and sellers you will see here. Good for you - good for all!
Posted by Unclejunk1 (0) on 2/26/2008 at 15:06:58 CT Auctions
Ok! I'm baaaack. Listed some good junk, old junk, so take a looog loook. Alls joke aside, do check them out. Anyone out there as concerned about the NAFTA Corridor as I am?
Posted by Auctionman (10) 10-50 on 2/24/2008 at 10:13:02 CT Auctions
I agree. Anyone selling a new laptop for 50.00 on any site has gotta be a scammer, and should be sent packing!!
Posted by Unclejunk1 (0) on 2/23/2008 at 22:38:08 CT Auctions
Thank you Lisa!!!! It is very good to see you are keeping the site clean and it is not a bad thing for this to be seen in the chat cafe. If anything it sends a good message to all willing to look. You get em, Treasureshawaii. I hope the police are able to help. That kind, has no place here or anywhere on the internet. For that matter anywhere in polite society. Prisons are actually too good for that kind. Again thank you Lisa.

Update. I was correct....both are scammers and both Laurelw52 and Mileyhunter27 have been suspended from Squeagle.com and all of their listings removed. Goodbye and good riddance to extremely bad rubbish. Will be filing a theft report against Laurelw52 with the Everett, MA police department.
Posted by Admin (0) on 2/23/2008 at 19:12:33 CT Auctions
The seller Mileyhunter27 has been removed from the site, along with Laurelw52, we do not put up with that kind of thing at this site. I would rather have not had to post this here, but wanted anyone visiting the chat cafe to know the outcome of this situation. Thanks, Lisa

first of all i read what u said i dont even know that person i work for a company that my company ships out. we sell all brand new items that sell for cheap that people can't afford. i work for a comapny thats all. i sell the company item then they ship out the item once usually payment is receive and cleared. im the one that communicates and sells things to sellers. ok you get me now?
Posted by Treasureshawaii (0) on 2/23/2008 at 02:31:08 CT Auctions
New developments on seller: Laurelw52. Not even 24 hours have passed and she/he has re-listed the three items I won from her/him today but . . . surprise . . . under another seller name: mileyhunter27, coincidentally registered with Squeagle on the very same day as Laurelw52....February 17. Both are in Massachusetts, but different towns. Have advised Lisa at admin of this curiosity. Mileyhunter27 is also registered on eBay but she/he has only bought things, never sold or listed anything. For the record, I have entered bids on the three items that I won this a.m. from Laurelw52 and now identically relisted by Mileyhunter27 to see how it shakes out. Will be interesting. Stay tune and any info you, dear reader, may have, please share here. Aloha

Won a couple of items but having problems with seller, Laurelw52. I paid her for a laptop nearly a week ago (via PayPal) and she still hasn't shipped it, after promising to do so yesterday. I won three more items yesterday and today from her, but there's no way I'm going to pay her for them until I get the first item I won. She emailed me today she "needs the money" today and threatened to relist the items if I didn't pay her. Not a chance I'm sending her more $$ yet. How does one post feedback on Squeagle? Looks like she may have a very short career on squeagle of she is, in fact, a scammer. Have copied admin@squeagle.com on all correspondance with her so that Lisa knows what's going on. Aloha from Hawaii, all.

With all the junk going on with ebay maybe it will make this site a better choice! I like the store feature. This site should start filling up with sellers soon. Buyers are going to be harder to find on every site for a while. Election year and the year after with a new President is always slower. Two wars and a recession make it even more of a challenge. I don't list a lot when I have to travel but will when I can.
Posted by Auctionman (10) 10-50 on 2/18/2008 at 22:23:27 CT Auctions
Yeah I'm still around, they are good people, so I try and help out when I can. Good to see your still checking in from time to time also.

Hi, you will get a email statement at the end of each month. The item description problem could have to do with the internet browser you are using, I know explorer works ok but I think some others don't.

New Squeagle seller. Couple of things: How will we pay Squeagle if an item is sold? They did not ask for a credit card at all when I registered. Second., unable to enter Item Description. Area is grayed out so unable to list anything, regular text or html. No response to a couple of inquires to Admin. and Help at Squeagle. Anyone know what's going on? Looks like a promising site.

hello everyone, im excited to sign up here i am tired of ebay, I have a strong feeling this site will become very successfull i am going to email all my friensds and open a website directing people here, i reccomend as many people as possible do the same. you can open a website for free or a nice one for 10.00 or less, the more people we get her the faster we can make Squeagle.com the new ebay!

If the pictures are on your computer, they can be uploaded when listing your items. You will see that upon clicking the "sell" tab. If you use a storage site for images, that can be linked to your item also.

I forgot to mention this earlier but I remember folks having trouble with photo's. I did too until I found out what (MY) problem was. I went round and round with Kodak - they are not always helpful - some don't seem to know one camera from another. So here goes SIZE MATTERS - alright you guy's you heard it from me! In the past I used a simple cheap Minolta that worked fine for the internet but not much else. The Kodak does more but not as simple as it should be to figure out for the net. If you have a Kodak and you have saved in jpg and lowered your pixels to the lowest setting and still having trouble you need to go back and edit your photo's by saving to best for the web. You have more than one save button in the edit section. Keep looking until you find the one I said. You will be able to take photo's in the largest pixel setting and still reduce to best for the web setting when you take photo's for auctions. Yes I am standing up right now! I knew there would be at least one in the crowd!!

What a Deal what a Bargain!!! Hello all and especially Auctionman! Just went through a few messages and Lisa should be happy to have a cheerleader like Auctionman. You get-em guy! I am not much for these chat places so you will not see me here much. It was interesting for a few minutes, but my hiney gets tired if sitting too long. I have listed several things over the past several days and understand it is a new site by some standards, looks professional enough - all I can say is be patient and if you want it to work - help it!!! Tell your friends - go back on your sold items and feedbacks at ebay and let them know you are there. Remember it is summer and school is starting all over the country - it cost money to get them back in. Did you list clothes or school supplies? Some things we don't want to give away but there are some you can. We all know how shipping has shot through the roof! Go out in the garage or the attic (This is a challenge) and find some good things you don't mind selling for a nichol and list it here. I have not yet but will in the next few days - People want bargains and will pay the shipping if they cannot resist the price. I know there are some jeans out there that I can let go! Probably some kids clothes. Stuff them in a flat rate envelope and ship as cheap as possible. It is that time of year. Good luck to all and just to be corny (to all a good night) unclejunk1

Could be your browser or browser settings, are you using Internet Explorer? It also could be your file type or size, on the upload screen it tells you the max size and file types. If that doesn't help, email admin@squeagle.com

When you sell a item, both the buyer and seller get a email, stating the winning bid amount, and their email addresses, so they can contact each other that way. Please have patience, since alot of people are not home the moment a auction ends. The send invoice should be used if the buyer either doesn't respond to you, or if the buyer claims they did not get the original notice. In this case I checked the send invoice feature, and it did work, and I sent it for you. If you have a problem or concern in the future, please email us directly, as we do not constantly watch the chat cafe for messages,so a email would get a quicker response for you. Thank you. admin@squeagle.com

Hello All, Due to a request, and the popularity of it, we have added a new catagory for collectible animal figures, there are many of these so we decided to add a seperate catagory for it, it is listed off the main catagories as "Collectibles Animals". In other news, Yahoo auctions are closing soon, and we would like to welcome all sellers and buyers from that site to Squeagle for free listings and auctions!!! If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me at admin@squeagle.com. I would also like to thank "auctionman" for the kind words in the posting below. Lisa

Hello, Traffic does come thru the site, but it does need alot more advertising, and word of mouth from sellers and buyers alike. Theres nothing wrong with this site for selling or buying. I have sold and bought items here with no problem. The sellers here are all from the US or Canada, which keeps out most scammers. Many other sites allow anyone in, and then deal with it after the fact by banning the member, this site not only bans the member, but also the ip address from the country he is from upon registration, thus if they try to get to the site, they get redirected and never see it. Even if one got thru, as soon as any other country is mentioned, you know not to deal with the person, as they are not allowed here. This to me is a big plus for any auction site these days. The site is very simple, the adminstration are good honest people from the midwest (Wisconsin) who are easy to work with, they only charge sellers on sold items, and lately have been clearing those from what I understand. So basically its all free to use. More advertising would be good, and I know they are trying more, even though its a big expense. This site should work out well if everyone stays onboard and helps out by letting people know about it. Good luck to all!! By the way, I am just a retired guy, not associated with this site at all, but I like to root for the good guys. :)

Hello Everyone, I have a few auctions listed, but so far not much interest. Hope it gets better. I have around 1200 auctions on Yahoo and now they are "retiring" from auctions. I was thinking about putting them on here, but was wondering if there is enough flow throw traffic to make it worth all the effort. Any thoughts? Thanks

Yes the site is mine, Thank you. Also what is your policy on vendable candy? I sell vending machines (which I listed some here) and the bulk candy and gum that goes in them. If this is something you allow I'll list that too.

Yes, you can link to your site from either page, as long as the site is yours, and not a affiliate type situation.

Hi, Its fairly new, compared to some, which means also that its still not yet heavely visited. Some people have bought and sold items , there are several people with feedback here. Sites like these take some time to really take off, but they also need people not to give up on them. If the sellers are not here, new visitors will not see any reason to sign up. This site seems to have a decent start, compared to some of the really newer ones around, the membership keeps growing here since I signed up, which means people do check out the site. Unfortunately, some sellers list items that can be purchased elsewhere for less, I have gone thru some of the listings here and have Googled a few items to check what the competition is offering. One thing sellers have to realize is that people research prices before making purchases, even on sites such as eBay. I have purchased several items here, and all were good experiances, so the site does work, all it takes is to get the word out, and offer some good deals. Since sellers are not paying all the fees, such as eBay charges, they should keep that in mind when pricing items, so this site has a chance to grow. Anyway, thats my take on it, good luck to all :)

Good afternoon all I was just noticing that most of the members here are 0 feedback. is that because this is a new site or not well travelled. not complaining just asking.

Hi everyone, yes I am a newbie, but I do not mind. I am excited to be here. I would like to see this site grow big and give ebay a run for it's money. They are way to expensive and out of control.

Auctions are tooooooo long, they attract no bids. Should have a maximum of 7 days listings
